About Us
Founded in 2019, Damayan BC is a grassroots organization dedicated to serving and empowering vulnerable migrants living and working in the Lower Mainland of BC. We acknowledge the traditional lands of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh), Stó꞉lō (Stolo), lək̓ʷəŋən (Lekwungen), Tsawwassen (Tseycum), and Semiahmoo (SEMÁ) Nations, where we operate. Our mission is to uplift migrant workers by providing essential services and advocacy to help them navigate systemic barriers and achieve social justice.

Case Work and Legal Support
We offer individualized support to migrant workers facing legal challenges, including assistance with navigating immigration laws, accessing social benefits, and combating labor exploitation.

Our "Know Your Rights" workshops equip migrant workers with the knowledge and skills they need to advocate for themselves and others in their communities.
Advocacy and Policy Change
We work to influence policies that impact migrant workers by amplifying their voices and advocating for fair employment practices, wage protections, and comprehensive government support.
Community Organizing and Leadership Development
We support migrant workers in organizing their own initiatives and developing leadership skills through training, resources, and collaborative projects.
